Privacy Notice
Ratio Global Inc. operates Writees and is responsible for the personal information described here. This notice explains what the current service processes, why it does so, and how you can manage your information.
1. Information we process
- Account information: your sign-in provider identifier, email address, display name, account status, consent records, and settings.
- Writing workspace: writing examples and uploaded material, voice profiles, instructions, drafts, edits, saved versions, and feedback you submit.
- Usage and operations: word and voice rebuild usage, request status, timestamps, provider usage and cost records, and technical information used to operate and protect the service. Hosting providers may process IP addresses, browser information, and request logs.
- Billing: Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, billing period, payment status, and webhook records. Stripe collects payment details directly on its hosted pages. Writees does not receive your full card number or card security code.
2. Why we use it
We use this information to sign you in, save and retrieve your workspace, build writing profiles, generate and revise text at your request, apply usage limits, process subscriptions, provide support, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, processing needed to provide the requested service relies on performance of our agreement; security and operational troubleshooting rely on our legitimate interests; required accounting and legal records rely on legal obligations. We obtain consent where it is required, including the product's external AI processing consent. You can stop requesting AI processing or contact us about withdrawing consent. Withdrawal does not undo processing already lawfully completed.
3. External AI processing
Writees currently uses DeepSeek for external AI features. When you request a voice analysis, draft, revision, or other AI operation, material needed for that operation is sent to the provider. Depending on the feature, this can include writing samples, profile information, source text, selected passages, instructions, and relevant context. Generated output is returned to Writees and may be saved in your workspace.
The external provider processes requests on its infrastructure under the terms applicable to our API use. This notice does not promise that provider processing is confined to your country or that it has zero retention. Do not submit material you are not authorized to share with the service and its AI provider. You can manage included writing samples and delete your Writees account as described below.
4. Other providers and connected clients
- Cloudflare hosts the application, database, network protection, and MCP service. The application container is configured for the EU jurisdiction; network, support, billing, and external AI processing can occur elsewhere.
- Google provides sign-in. Writees receives the identity and profile claims needed for authentication; it does not receive your Google password.
- Stripe provides checkout, subscription management, invoices, payment security, and the billing portal. Stripe also processes information for its own payment and regulatory purposes under its privacy policy.
- If you connect Writees to an MCP client such as Codex, the client can request the account operations you authorize and receive their results, including writing content. Its operator has separate terms and privacy practices. Connect only clients you trust and manage their access through the connection controls.

5. Sharing and international processing
We disclose information to the providers needed to deliver the service, to people acting on your authorized instructions, and when necessary to comply with law, protect rights and security, or handle a business reorganization subject to applicable law. Writees does not make your workspace public by default.
Ratio Global is based in the United States. Our providers operate internationally, including external AI processing by a provider based in China. Your information may therefore be processed outside your country, where data protection laws can differ. Contact us for information about the arrangements applicable to your data. The EU hosting setting alone does not mean that all processing remains in the EU.
6. Cookies and browser storage
Writees uses session and authentication cookies and browser storage needed for sign-in, security, and interface behavior. Hosted Google and Stripe pages can use their own cookies. Blocking necessary storage can prevent sign-in or checkout from working. This notice does not authorize optional advertising tracking; any such future use requiring consent will need a separate choice.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep account and workspace records while needed to provide your account and the features you use. Saved project versions and draft history can preserve earlier material even after you edit the current version. Removing a sample from a current profile is different from deleting all account data.
The account deletion control removes your account and associated workspace records from the application's active database. An ongoing paid subscription must first end through Manage billing. Billing, fraud-prevention, legal, backup, and provider records may remain where required or necessary for those purposes; account deletion does not erase Stripe's independent payment records or guarantee immediate deletion from every provider backup.
We limit access to account data through authenticated, account-scoped application controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Contact us if you believe your account or information has been misused.
8. Your choices and rights
You can manage writing examples, settings, drafts, and connected-client access in the product, and request account deletion. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, obtain a copy of, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. These rights can have legal exceptions; we may need to verify your identity before responding.

Explain your request and the email associated with your account. Do not send your password or unnecessary sensitive information. You may also complain to the data protection authority responsible for your location.
9. Children and notice updates
Writees is intended for adults aged 18 or older. We do not intend to collect information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information through the service.
We will update this notice when the service or its data practices change and show the new effective date. We will provide additional notice or request consent for material changes when required. This notice applies to Writees; separate services operated by Ratio Global or other providers may have different notices.
